A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent (“Llicenciatura” or Engineering degree) from a recognized institution (minimum 180 ECTS or 3 years of full time study) is required. For further details follow the links below.
Admission criteria
The admission to the MSc in Photonics program is based on the academic record of the applicant (academic performance as well as adequacy of the degree of the applicant to the photonics program).
Optionally, it will be considered:
• A personal interview of the candidate with the Admission commission
• Recommendation letter from persons who have a scientific or academic record in the field of optics/photonics or related discipline
• Professional experience in the field of optics/photonics or related disciplines
• Provable scientific activity in the field of optics/photonics, such as for instance: collaboration with established research groups, scientific publications, or presentations to conferences
Application procedure (on-line pre-registration)
All applicants must pre-register at one of the three universities that host the MSc in Photonics (the admission commision is unique). You must follow the application procedure from the University where you decide to apply:

You will be requested to submit a legalized copy of your transcripts. Unless otherwise indicated, to pre-register a pdf file is acceptable. Include also a CV, a photocopy of your DNI, NIE or passport, and, if already available, a copy of your previous university degree diploma. Reference letters can also be included.
Please take into account that we cannot offer any scholarship for our Master students. We hope you can get a scholarship from some grant-awarding institution (see 'Grants' section for some help) or you can cover yourself your travel and living expenses as well as the tuition fees (these amount to around 2000€)
Deadline for Application
15 June 2009 is the deadline for pre-registration. From May 15 to the end of June, you will be notified by e-mail of the outcome of your application. In case you need and advance notification (to apply for a Visa or a Grant, for example) please contact the Master's coordinators (see 'Contact Information' section).
Pre-registration can be perfromed even after 15 June and until a few days before the beginning of the course. If the online procedure is not open, you should address directly to the Master's coordinators (see 'Contact Information' section), sending them all necessary information (CV, transcripts, motivation, letter,...) Please note that the master is limited to 30 students and thus admission after deadline will be subject to this limitation.
